Back from the Philippines

What a fascinating place! My first visit to both Asia and to a tropical country. Really one of the best vacations that I have ever had. The weather was flawless on the island of Luzon (where we stayed) and we had the chance to get out into the countryside and see how beautiful this place can be. The Philippine people who I encountered were some of the nicest folks I've ever met. I can't think of a single unpleasant incident with any of them. This is a nation that really tries to make visitors feel welcome. Over the next few days, I will be posting some pics and my impressions. In this series of posts, I will break one rule of this site-some shots will not be Treo camera pictures (gasp!). Our Fuji FinePix does too good a job for its images to be passed up.

Starting from the bottom (all Treo camera shots, thus the low resolution) is the house we stayed in for most of our time in the country followed by two pictures of my wife's high school (we were in the Philippines for her 25th anniversary high school reunion) and a shot of the Makati skyline (Makati is a part of Manila, sort of the equivalent of its Manhattan) .

What a great opportunity for your wife to be able to return for her 25th class reunion.
